By: Kingfisher Bay Resort, K’gari (formerly Fraser Island)

With idyllic white beaches, endless sunshine, World Heritage wilderness to explore and spectacular sunsets across the bay, K’gari situated in SE Queensland is the perfect place to stay and unwind on island time.

The word K’gari (pronounced garee) translates to paradise – a fitting name given to the island by her traditional owners, the Butchulla people.

Known for complex dune systems, over 100 freshwater lakes like Lake McKenzie (Boorangoora) and ancient rainforests growing completely from sand, K’gari is more than a world-class travel destination for sightseeing, with untapped conference and event facilities at the award-winning Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Amaze Your Delegates with Illumina – Return to Sky Light Show

The interpretive narrative, “Return to Sky”, breathes life into the island’s stories, casting vibrant hues across nature’s stage and captivating audiences with a journey of discovery, regeneration, and growth.  Illumina will be the first permanent light, laser and projection experience of its kind in Queensland.
