O’Brien Electrical & Plumbing Annual Conference 2025 – Sunshine Coast Shines for a Nationwide Gathering of 300 Delegates
The Sunshine Coast turned on the charm in early September 2025, welcoming more than 300 business delegates from the O’Brien Electrical and Plumbing network for their highly anticipated annual conference.
Hosted at theNovotel Sunshine Coast Resort and Convention Centre, the event perfectly combined business, connection, and community. Delegates made full use of the integrated facilities, from modern conference spaces to relaxing lagoon-side accommodation – creating a seamless and productive experience from morning meetings to evening mingling.
Community with Heart:
One of the true highlights of the conference was the delegates’ commitment to giving back. In a remarkable display of teamwork and generosity, the group rolled up their sleeves for a full day of hands-on charity work supporting Maroochydore House, a local community initiative. The contribution which has been valued at over$100,000 has left a lasting legacy within the Sunshine Coast community and in the hearts of those involved.

Delegates were treated to a series of unforgettable social experiences that showcased the Sunny Coast’s laid-back luxury and natural beauty.
Evenings sparkled with:
Beachside dining at Novotel, where guests soaked in ocean breezes and golden sunsets.
An open-air event on the front lawn at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club, featuring team-building challenges and plenty of laughter.
A carnival-style celebration at iconic Aussie World, complete with rides, games, and a hearty barbecue feast under the stars.
Beyond the official program, the Sunshine Coast’s spirit of adventure called. Delegates enjoyed an Ambrose Golf Tournament, a seafood and craft beer pairing at local favouriteSunshine Brewery, and an exhilarating ‘MasterChef by Fire’ wild game experience hosted byXperiences HQ.
Many attendees took the opportunity to turn business into pleasure some arriving early or extending their stay to explore the region further. Some revved things up with a group motorcycle ride to Bundaberg Distillery, thanks to Sunshine Coast Motorcycle Hire. Others journeyed into the hinterland’s tranquil towns and rainforests, or relaxed beachside in beautifulNoosa.
