Sunreef Mooloolaba

Overview

Sunreef Mooloolaba is the longest established dive centre in the region, and the largest dive centre in South East Queensland.

Sunreef Mooloolaba offers Australia’s first Swim with Humpback Whales experience, from July to October each year, as well as local reef dives, snorkelling trips and diving on the ex-HMAS Brisbane. A 5-Star PADI Training Centre, we offer accredited dive courses for all levels of divers and plan and guide international dive trips and travel as well as dive equipment sales and servicing.

Activity options

Australia’s first Swim with Humpback Whales Experience (July to October)

· 1/2 day tour approx. 4 hours – can do two tours per day

· Group up to 40 people on 2 separate boats (Croc one and Sunreef vessels)

· Guests dressed in 5ml wetsuits and life jackets available on request.

· Does not include lunch but snacks, water etc. on-board.

· With enough notice could accommodate up to 60 people

· Ability to do transfers to and from accommodation houses on request.

Dive or Snorkel Flinders Reef

· Full day (7am to 4pm, usually return around 3pm)

· group up to 40 people on 2 separate boats (Croc one and Sunreef vessels)

· Guests dressed in 5ml wetsuits and life jackets available on request.

· Does include lunch, snacks, water etc. on-board.

· With enough notice could accommodate up to 60 people

· Ability to do transfers to and from accommodation houses on request.

Dive Local Reefs

Snorkelling tours Old Woman Island

· ½ day tour

Dive HMAS Brisbane

Dive one the Worlds best Wrecks the EX HMAS Brisbane, a decommissioned guided missile destroyer. Located just 2.9 nautical miles offshore which makes it an easy venture out and is available to dive all year round.

Sunreef has exclusive use of the 2 midship moorings, making for 2 leisurely dives in which you can visit the entire wreck comfortably.

Explore the outside of the wreck and encounter an abundance of local aquatic sea life that inhabits her. Then explore the depths of her hull, enter the engine room or even visit the control room where her kill switches are still in tact

For diving experiences, divers must be certified. For Swim with Whales and Snorkelling experiences require guests to be competent swimmers.

Minimum and Maximum numbers

Trip minimum and maximums vary to join our daily scheduled tours. There are also min and max numbers for boat charter depending on the tour you are going on – between 12 and 20. Please call us for details – we are happy to work with you to achieve the best experience possible!
