For the first time ever, Visit Sunshine Coast is bringing Brisbane-based event planners to the beautiful Sunshine Coast to enjoy a Sunshine Soiree in the destination on 1 September.

“We are so excited to be bringing Brisbane buyers here for the first time,” Visit Sunshine Coast Business Events Manager Ali Thompson says.

“There’s no better way to showcase the Sunshine Coast than to be here and see for yourself!

“We are also showcasing our latest product in market, the spectacular The Crocodile Hunter Lodge at Australia Zoo which makes his event twice as exciting.”

Guests will arrive via coach with networking drinks and canapes on arrival at Warrior Restaurant plus a cooking demonstration from a guest celebrity chef (whose name will remain a secret until the day).

This will be followed by a delectable lunch sourced from the finest local producers, combined with prize draws and live entertainment.

Our Master of Ceremonies Duncan Armstrong OAM OLY won gold and silver medals in the pool at the 1988 Olympics, and has since turned his talents to sports media, events hosting and inspirational speaking. It will be a great privilege to have Duncan as host, as Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast prepare to stage the 2032 Olympic Games.

“After lunch, we are introducing supplier stations with engaging activations where our Brisbane buyers have the opportunity to be educated on product whilst having fun,” says Ali.

Amongst the suppliers will be Accor Sunshine Coast, Alba Noosa, Alexandra Park Conference Centre, Aussie World, Australia Zoo, Evoke Experiences, Kingfisher Bay Resort, Mercure Sunshine Coast Kawana Waters, Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort, Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, RACV Noosa Resort, Rumba Resort, Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort, Spicers Retreats, Sunshine Beach Surf Club, The Events Centre, Venue 114 and Reforest.

The Brisbane Soiree comes off the back of an overwhelmingly successful Sydney Soiree where buyers were wowed by the region’s offerings resulting in driving business events to the Sunshine Coast.
