Visit Sunshine Coast hosted its last Sunshine Soiree of the season which was a first for Melbourne – and it exceeded expectations with more than 50 of Melbourne’s most distinguished event professionals enjoying Friday’s Soiree.
“I am delighted with the resounding success of the Sunshine Soire series, these events not only showcase our region but allow for invaluable relationship building by face-to-face connections with buyers,” said VSC Head of Business Events Ali Thompson.
“We were blown away by the response in Melbourne, with the largest number of buyers out of all our Soirees. It was a beautiful sunny day – so we feel we literally brought the sunshine with us!
“Our host, Paul West who known for his TV show River Cottage and his role as a food ambassador, provided endless entertainment for our guests while showcasing the exceptional local produce found on the Sunny Coast,” Ali said.
“We featured a dozen reputable suppliers and a smorgasbord of prizes, highlighting a diverse range of offerings, such as various accommodation and venue options, unique incentive experiences, and local products galore.
“Furthermore, we proudly introduced our new Sustainability Program in collaboration with Reforest.
“This initiative empowers events to make a positive impact on the Sunshine Coast by planting native trees in reforestation projects on the Sunshine Coast to remove carbon emissions.”
Melissa Resta from Lander & Rogers, who won an accommodation package from Spicers Sunshine Coast, said: “What a wonderful afternoon at the recent Sunshine Soiree networking event hosted in Melbourne!
